The two clubs clash at the Boland Rugby Stadium, kick-off at 3.30pm in the last match of the Absa Premiership which Aces will have to win at all cost to remain in the elite league.
Said Maleka:"Our lives depend on this match, and we can’t afford for a draw or defeat. We are going to fight for our lives, and for all those hawkers who support their families from what they generate during our home matches."
Aces who currently lie 15th with 25 points are one point clear of Jomo Cosmos (16th on the log with 24 points), and they are aiming to win thus ensuring them qualifying for the four clubs promotion/relegation play-offs.
Smith echoed on Maleka’s sentiments, saying: "Aces is our livelihood, and we can’t afford to let this club be relegated. After a heart to heart talk with both the management and the coach, we feel very encouraged and motivated."
The Aki Agiomamitis coached side lost 2-1 to the Urban Warriors in the first round clash which was played at the Puma Rugby Stadium, and it remain to be seen if they will avenge that defeat.
At the same time Aces should cross their fingers that Moroka Swallows should beat Cosmos. Swallows welcome Cosmos at the Dobsonville Stadium in another league match to be played tomorrow.
Meanwhile Aces CEO Marc Grune reported that the players are well rested, relaxed and ready to go.
Aces, who have been in camp since Wednesday, have had some time to acclimatise to the scortching heat wave which has hit the Cape. Temperatures of around 40 degree Celsius are predicted on the bumpy rugby pitch tomorrow.
Ajax will not have the services of their captain Brett Evans, Aidan Jenniker and Thulani Hlatshwayo who are all out injured.
Aces fans will be happy to note that both crucial matches involving Aces and Cosmos will be televised live tomorrow.Aces match will be ive on SABC1 as well as Supersport Blitz.
