Reading the papers and watching the news is getting dangerous. You would think that the world was coming to an end. Yes, it is very tough out there. The majority of our supporters are singing the blues wondering what the future would hold.
The entire team at Aces, from the Morfou brothers, the management, technical department, players right down to the team driver believes that "Adversity doesn’t build character, it reveals it!"
The squad is well prepared for this afternoons "battle" in Wellington and we want the team to know that there is loads of support for the players.
The weather is going to play a big part today. Forecasted temperatures for this afternoon is a scorching 38 degrees with a southerly wind of 20km/h.
Its an unusual venue for a football match in the scenic Wellington, situated in the Western Cape’s winelands region and not too far from Cape Town. The stadium is where the Boland Cavaliers play their rugby.
Hopefully conditions will suite Aces who also play on rugby pitch at home. The boys have been down in the Cape since Wednesday have also had an opportunity to practise on the field. So thorough was their training that they even trained with the new Adidas match ball, which is Ajax’s technical sponsor and also todays match ball.
Best of luck!
