MPUMPALANGA BLACK ACES FOOTBALL CLUB - AMAZAYONI

Amazayoni sign top Ivory Coast striker

Black Aces have strengthened the striking department with Brice Aka from Durban based side, Maritzburg United.
The big Ivorian striker played for Vallee AC and Asec Mimosa of Ivory Coast and Raja Casablanca and Club Omnisports De Meknes of Morocco before heading to South Africa to play for Maritzburg United. The well travelled striker has also played in France for Stade Rennais FC.

The 27 year old striker will certainly be a handful for defenders who will face him. With such experienced strikers in the fold, Amazayoni will certainly be a team to be reckoned with in the league this season.

Aces have been looking at creating a strong spine in the team and were very concerned at the lack of goals scored last season. AmaZayoni managed to create many opportunities but seemed to lack the killer blow of scoring.

The Ivorian target man has signed a one year contract with Amazayoni with an option of further staying at the team. Aka is the fourth foreigner to have been recruited by AmaZayoni this season.

He played 54 matches for Martizburg United and netted 9 times. His major strength is his ball control and he is a terrific targetman. It is anticipated that he will form a great partnership with Maleka upfront.

Aka has a big reputation and is looking forward to playing for arguably one of the bigger clubs in South Africa.

The learning curve and readjustment to PSL football has come and gone for Aces - and the club, while optimistic, is aiming at building a team that will be around in the PSL for many years to come!

The announcement comes one day after AmaZayoni revealed that they had signed the top keeper, Dennis Onyango - who is pictured below together with Aces CEO, Marc Grune
