The 16 players paraded include 3 youngsters who were promoted from the Aces Academy which plays in the Vodacom league.
Marc Grune, Aces Chief Executive Officer is happy with the players they have acquired and outlined his club’s ambitious new plans for the coming season.
"We have signed fantastic players this year and have learnt our lessons from last season. We are happy to announce that this year we targetted both talent and experience. We have also promoted three young players from our academy which is great for the team going forward," Grune told blackaces.co.za.
"We are also confident that we will do well this year as we have improved not only from the management side, but I also believe we will do well on the field too."
The PSL statistics puts Aces as the third highest attended matches in the league. "This is fantastic for our team hence we are building a strong team for the future," he says.
Head coach Aki Agiomamitis is also impressed with the players at his disposal.
"I am very happy to have these players. All I need now is to start the with the league matches. And I know we are going to surprise a lot of teams this year," he says.
"It will be a bonus for us to play in the Telkom Charity Cup and I would like to encourage our supporters to continue to vote for our team so that they can see what we have in store for them this season," said the Cyprian mentor.
Grune is happy with the progress the team is showing in the Telkom Charity Cup. "We have been encouraged by the support we get from our supporters who would like to see us taking part in this wonderful tournament," he said.
The players did not spend too long at the press conference as AmaZayoni were scheduled to play a friendly against Moroka Swallows this afternoon.
Aces played a friendly against Tembisa Classic last Friday and will be playing Sundowns in a training match on Saturday.
