MPUMPALANGA BLACK ACES FOOTBALL CLUB - AMAZAYONI

Aces in tough encounter against Atlie

Mpumalanga Black Aces will visit Atlie FC at Makhulong Stadium in an NFD league match on Saturday 18th February. Kick off is at 15h30.
This will be Aces’ second away encounter this week, after playing against Tuks in Pretoria on Tuesday afternoon. If they can handle the pressure on the road, it will make things easier when they come back to their home ground next Wednesday.

The two teams will meet for the third time this season having played to a 1-1 draw in the first round at the Puma Rugby Stadium. Tshepo Bulu scored for Aces in an entertaining match that was played on the 28th August 2011.

Their second clash was in the Nebank Cup prelims at the Rand Stadium on the 14th December 2011. AmaZayoni won the game 1-0 via a Denis Masina strike late in the second half.

Black Aces will be confident going into this match after claiming a valuable point away to Tuks on Tuesday afternoon. Coming away with a point at the ABSA Tuks Stadium is not a easy task and they should be commended for that.

Atlie on the other hand suffered a heavy defeat going down 0-5 against Sivutsa at the Kanyamazane Stadium on Wedensday evening. Their loss should be motivation enough to try and come back at the expense of Aces.

The visitors have so far enjoyed a good run against Atlie and Saturday should not be any different. Both teams are perched at the bottom of the log with Aces slightly on above with 14 points while Atlie are on 13 points. This is a crucial match for both teams in their attempt to move away from the bottom of the log.

Black Aces have capable players in all positions and should collect the maximum points come tomorrow afternoon. If they can continue the way they played against University of Pretoria, they might surprise a few people at the end of the season.

The second round will bring more pressure, especially on the top teams and they might start dropping valuable points. It will be good for AmaZayoni to collect as many points to be well positioned when the top and middle teams start losing points.
