Black Aces played to a 2-2 draw against Blackburn Rovers in the last league outing at the Buffalo City Stadium over the past weekend. In that game AmaZayoni launched a dramatic come back from 2-nil down to get a deserved away point. The fightback is just what the team needed from a team spirit point of view.
F.C.A.K, who can blow hot-and-cold and are the leagues unpredictable side, beat FC Cape Town 3-1 at Eldorado Park last Sunday.
The two teams will be meeting for the second time in a league encounter this season. In their first match played at Eldorado Park Stadium, F.C.A.K beat Aces 2-1 with "Ace" Bhengu scoring the goal for the visitors.
Placed on position 14th on the log, Aces will be looking for nothing less than three points after playing two consecutive draws. They are on the same number of points with bottom placed Atlie FC and Dynamos who are on 15th position.
A win should see the eMalahleni team ease their relegation worries and move slightly up the NFD log table provided, Bay United lose against African Warriors.
With all the quality players that Sakala has at his disposal, Aces should be able to beat their Eldorado counterparts. The good news is that striker, Tshepo Bulu will be available for selection should the coach feel the need to use his services.
Bantam who suffered an ankle injury in a home game against FC Cape Town, will be out for this Saturday’s game. Keeper, Nick Gindre who is doing rehab will also not be available for selection this weekend.
What is evident is that this squad is now unified under coach Sakala and his assistant Caesar Maphalla. The players have been allowed to express themselves and Aces have gone back to a far more reliable 4-4-2 system.
Expect a game of all-out attack from Aces, who last time out played with three regular strikers.
Mario and George Morfou (pictured with Sakala) have spent a considerable amount of time working with the technical team and have made available some additional bonusses as a catylst to motivate the team.
The club has also just launched an Aces high school league in Witbank and has plans to re-establish the brand, which is 75 years old this year.
Go AmaZayoni GO!
