The Gauteng academy league has eight established sides playing in an Under-15, Under-17 and Under-19 divisions.
Teams making up the league, are: MP Black Aces, Supersport, Bidvest Wits, Moroka Swallows, Mamelodi Sundowns, Jomo Cosmos, Tuks and Rosina Sedibane.
The league will run from this Sunday 22 April, 2012 until the first week of October.
The academy teams are comprised of the more elite players from the Corinthians club, which Black Aces is a strategic football partner.
The academies technical director, Craig Rosslee has arranged a pre-match team shoot for the players and technical staff on Sunday just before kick-off..
The action gets underway at the Greek Sporting Club’s Corinthians-Aces fields on Sunday.
09:00 : Under-15’s - Aces VS Supersport
10:00 : Under-17’s - Aces Vs Supersport
12:00 : Under-19’s - Aces Vs Supersport
The Under 19’s have just returned from a fairly successful trip to Cape Town where they won 2 matches and were beaten by the ultimate Bayhill tournament winners.
Aces have also established a "pre-academy" under 12 team, who will participate in the Easterns Super League.
Get down to the grounds on Sunday - there’s a fabulous restaurant that serves Joburgs "best breakfast" and the cuppachino’s are also very yummy!
