Aces ready for Sivutsa

Mpumalanga Black Aces will host Sivutsa Stars on Sunday, 06th May at the Rand Stadium. Kick off is at 15h00.
Black Aces wants nothing less than the three valuable points in this game - as the season is slowly coming to a close. The Sakala led team drew their last four games collecting only 4 points from a possible 12 which could have moved them to a mid-table position.

The good thing is that Aces are able to find the back of the net regularly, but they also need to be solid at the back to stop the opposition from scoring.

In their previous 3 games, Black Aces had to come from behind to salvage a point, which shows a lot of fighting spirit.

Against Sivutsa, they need to find an early goal to stand a good chance of winning the game.

Sivutsa won their last game at home and have had a topsy-turvey season.

In the first leg encounter between the two teams, Sivutsa won 3-0 at the KaNyamazane Stadium. It will be an interesting game as both teams will be looking to protect their pride by winning this Mpumalanga encounter.

AmaZayoni have already lost to their neighbours, Witbank Spurs and would definately want to avoid another defeat to a Mpumalanga team.

Former Aces striker, Mododa Motha who is now on the books of Stars, might pose a danger to the AmaZayoni defecse. He scored the only goal of the match when his side beat FC Cape Town 1-0 last Saturday.

The visitors are placed 11th on the log with 29 points from 26 games while Aces are still in danger on 14th position with 25 points from the same number of games.

Besides Lottie Phiri, who will sit out his last match due to a suspension and the injured Marawaan Bantam, the rest of the team is available. David Kannemeyer who missed the game against Carara Kicks after collecting three yellow cards, will also be available for selection.

Captain, Eddie Williams was also missed against Carara after suffering a slight knock before the match, resulting in him being left out of the team.

Aces needs the three points more than Sivutsa as they still have tough games remaining against Vasco, Tuks and FC Cape Town to conclude the season.
