Revenge should be on the player’s minds going into this potentially tough game in the windy Cape Town.
In the first round encounter played at the Rand Stadium, Vasco stole a last minute winner to edge Black Aces 0-1. In that game, Vasco were actually looking for a point but lady luck smiled on them when Geoffrey Sserunkuma scored in the 93rd minute.
A draw for Aces will not be enough as they find themselves at the wrong end of the NFD log table with only three games remaining. Vasco on the other hand still have a chance to claim a play-off spot and will go all out for the three points.
AmaZayoni missed clear goal scoring chances against Sivutsa and will need to improve on that aspect if they fancy any chances of winning the match. The good thing is that they are creating opportunities up front and should take it as a positive thing going into this match.
Black Aces will miss the services of Marawaan Bantam, James Mididilani and Menzi Masuku who are currently undergoing rehabilitation due to various injuries. Ayanda Lubelo and Felix Musasa are both out on three yellow cards apiece. The good news is that striker, Lottie Phiri will be back in contention for a starting berth after completing his two match suspension.
After playing five draws in succession the visiting Aces can’t afford anything less than the three points.
