Our youth teams did Black Aces proud against Moroka Swallows and came away with two wins and a draw.
Playing Moroka Swallows was a daunting task, especially that the Germiston based club is so well established. Huge kudos must go to our lads for their outstanding results.

U15 Black Aces Academy vs Moroka Swallows

  • Final score : 3-1 (halftime 2-1)
  • Goal scorers : Julio Papapetrou (2), Yanga
  • Cards: None
  • Coaches Corner:
This was the second league game for the U15’s (the first was a bye) and after the away win against Rosina Sedibane, the team was in high spirits.

Aces started cautiously and gained possession advantage midway through the half and dominated the territorial stakes. This resulted in several dangerous crosses from the wings with Julio Papapetrou scoring two goals.

Concentration faded at the end of the first half and Swallows came back into the game and scored after a corner.

Swallows pushed forward to equalise in the second half and credit to the Aces defence who neautralised everything "The Birds" had to throw at them.

In the dying moments of the game, Black Aces made sure of the win with a goal from Yanga after a counter attack.

A good win against strong opposition and the U15’s are now joint leaders in the log with maximum points.

    Coach Hans van Aalst

U17 Black Aces Academy vs Moroka Swallows

  • Final score : 0-0
  • Yellow Cards: Roger Morias, Preshamthan Ramsey, Kensane Sithole
  • Red Cards: Siyabonga Khumalo.
  • Coaches Corner:
The game against Swallows was once again a tough encounter. Aces controlled the game well but struggled with our final cross/ball in the final 3rd. Swallows also had their fair share of opportunities hitting the cross bar twice.

Once again we had a player sent off in the last 10 minutes of the game resulting in a negative approach for the last few minutes of the game instead of positive tactical change.

At the end a point well shared!

    Coach Craig Rosslee

    U19 Black Aces Academy

  • Final score : 3-0 (Halftime 1-0)
  • Goal scorers : Judas Moseamedi, Dorien Mankessi, Kevin Mc Kraven.
  • Yellow Cards: Andries M.
  • Coaches Corner:
A confident and convincing win from the U19 Black Aces Academy team. Aces dominated most of the play went 1-0 up via the boot of Judas Moseamedi, his 5th of the season. A brilliant save from our keeper prevented Swallows equalizing.

The team is now playing well as a unit and two more goals were scored by Dorien and Kevin to secure a deserved win.

After taking a hammering in our first match against Supersport, this team has bounced back well with back-to-back victories.

    Coach Plamen Kazakov.

    U12 Black Aces- Corinthians "pre-academy"

  • Friendly away game against Linhill
  • Final score : 0-6
  • Goal scorers: Christo Retsos (2), Liam Robinson (2), Loizo Fotiou (1), Dennis Basic (1)
  • Cards: none

  • Coaches Corner:
The young Black Aces players dominated the game from start to finish. They kept possession well and used the width effectively. Both wingers, Cameron and Loizo were given a lot of time out wide and took good advantage of the space offered by whipping some good crosses in from both the left and the right.

Christo Retsos 2nd goal was the highlight of the game - a perfect bicycle kick in the top corner which emphasised the class of the young player.

A great performance all round, well done boys!
