AmaZayoni have announced that Thabang Rooi and three other players have penned deals for the upcoming season.
Rooi, returns for a third time and his anchoring of the central defence should be key for Aces this season. He is a consummate professional and it is an open secret that he should never have been released by last season’s technical team. He moves back from Witbank Spurs and the ex-Chiefs defensive player has signed a one-year deal with an option.

Left footer Omar Hendricks has also joined from Thanda Royal Zulu. He was a key defensive player in the KZN’s franchise’s good run last year. Born in Western Cape 28 years ago, Hendriks has played for three PSL clubs in Santos, Maritzburg United and Vasco Da Gama. He is a utility player who can play virtually anywhere on the left flank.

Houston Hills is a striker who is sure to excite our fans. The 24-year-old Westbury born Hills, played for FC AK last season but is known for his time at Wits, who initially loaned him to Vasco before recalling him.

Aces are very excited to announce that their 19-year-old Academy striker, Judas Moseamedi has been added to the squad. Judas is a prolific scorer who has an eye for goal. He has currently scored 14 of his team’s 17 league goals for the Black Aces Academy team which plays in the Gauteng U-19 Academy Youth Development league. Earlier in the year, Judas scored four goals for Aces U-19’s at the Metropolitan Bayhill Tournament (vs Idas Valley).

Defender, Mohau Motaung who came to Aces via their 2nd Division (ex Vodacom) team AmaZayoni FC last year, has been retained – as has Thokozane Khanyile. "Director" also came via AmaZayoni FC, who are close to releasing another two players to the first team.

They join the previously announced signee’s in the TUKS trio of Essau Mstweni, Sechaba Mmuso and Sibusiso "Shorty" Themba, keeper Bafana Nhlapo and former Wits midfielder, Larry Cohen.

Aces will announce their full squad by the end of the week.
